Dr. John Richard "Dick" Gorham, 92, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1931, in Vandalia, Ohio, the son of Harvey Carl and Martha Foster Gorham. He was a member of Xenia United Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired with the United States Public Health Service. He is survived by his wife, June (Curry) Gorham, whom he married, September 5, 1952, five daughters, Anna Bolia, Sharon Leivestad, Lynda Marquardt, Susan Mrenna, and Joann Lorch, three sons, John F. Gorham, Joseph Gorham, and David Boyd, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, by numerous nieces and nephews and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Daniel Gorham, a granddaughter, Suzanne Mason, by two sisters, and by five brothers. Dick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held at 11am, Wednesday, March 27, at Xenia United Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday, until service time. Private graveside services will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Xenia United Presbyterian Church, 343 W.
