John D. Ream, 85, of Xenia, passed away February 6, 2022 at his residence. He was born May 15, 1936, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of John and Eleanor Maurer Ream. He was a member of St. Brigid Church and the Knights of Columbus, and served in the Ohio National Guard and a graduate of Ohio University. He retired from MTL after 30+ years of service. He enjoyed square dancing and operating amateur (Ham) radio. He is survived by his children, Dr. Michael Ream, FL, Susan (David) Hajdik, Cookeville, TN, Laura (Scott) Lust, Hilliard, OH, Catherine Ream (Jim), Xenia, OH, grandchildren, Andrew Lust (Melissa), Mark Lust, Hannah Hajdik, Elizabeth Grace Hajdik, Mary Hajdik, Sarah Collins (Joshua), Joshua Ream, Samuel Ream, Anna Ream, and Alyssa Kaylor (Clint), great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Christopher, and Clara, sisters, Ann Irwin (Jack), Sally Ferrell (Dave), by many nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Joan, and his wife, Louise T. (Feser) Ream, on August 21, 2008. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private graveside services will be held by the family in St. Brigid Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am, Friday, May 27, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia.
