Obituary

John Sherman "Sherm" Hoffman, 91, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Greene Oaks Health Center. He was born February 18, 1925, in Bellbrook, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Flora McGrew Hoffman.  He was a member of the Ledbetter Road Church of God, and was a lifelong Greene County Farmer. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eva I. Hoffman, on July 20, 1993, a brother, Kenneth Hoffman, and by five sisters, Verna McClanahan, Glenna Meredith, Ruth Literal, Dorothy Scaife, and Gladys Penewit. Sherm will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W.
