Joyce Ann "Joy" Current, 86, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Friends Care Center, Yellow Springs. She was born September 8, 1935, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of John and Cleta Jones Conner. She attended Xenia Central High School (Class of 1953) and Cincinnati College to complete her real estate courses. She became a realtor in 1983 and received a broker's license in 1986. She was a manager for Visa Realty, Keyes Gateway, and McIlvaine Realtors, in Xenia, and for Donald E. Fender, Inc., Hillsboro. She is survived by five children, Joycelyn (Steve) Cline, Tom Stoneburner, Linda (Dean) Kinser, Rick (Cynthia) Current, Steven (Karyn) Current, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Current, on November 17, 2012, a daughter-in-law, Pam Stoneburner, a sister, Shirley Hackley, and by two brothers, Jerry Conner and Mick Conner. Joy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
