Juanita F. (Ison) Johnson, 71, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. She was born November 24, 1952, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Chester A. and Elma Gibson Ison. She is survived by two daughters, Camissa Lynn (Alan) Tripp, and Jeannie Marie (Devin) Nicol, three grandchildren, Jacob Williamson, Connor Tripp, and Emma Tripp.  A sister, Vonda Herald, a brother, James Carl Ison, several nieces and nephews, and by numerous family and close friends, including a special friend, Beverly Walton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Johnson, on December 3, 2007, a sister, Helen Herald, and by two brothers, William Ison and Paul Ison. Juanita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Juanita loved her grandchildren. She was known in her community for caring for her elderly neighbors. She loved to garden, crochet and spend time in the sunshine while caring for the animals she loved dearly. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, February 28, in Silvercreek Township Cemetery, Jamestown.
