Judith Carol Pagett, 79, of Xenia, Ohio died on Friday December 23rd, 2022. Judy was born February 18, 1943, the eldest child of Leonard and Ruby Cox.  She was predeceased by her parents and younger siblings, Lenny Cox, Linda Sue Reck, Danny Cox and Mary Lou Pyles. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Hugh Pagett, daughter, Lisa (James) Hale, and son, Keith (Brandi) Pagett, all of Xenia. By granddaughters, Clarissa (Jake) Phillips, Kettering, Ohio, Christina Hale, Washington DC, Hannah Pagett, and Leah Pagett, Xenia. By great-grandchildren Aiden Houk, John Phillips, and Muffin. Also by brother-in-law Gene Pagett, several special nieces and nephews, and many family and friends. All of whom will forever miss her caring heart of gold, and in whose lives she truly made a difference.

Judy was the team-mom, the classroom-mom, and adopted mom to many along the way. She was a loyal supporter of active duty military members, helping to found local support organizations that placed monuments, hung yellow and orange ribbons, and filled and shipped hundreds of care boxes. She also wrote countless personal letters to hometown troops serving overseas, with some maintaining that correspondence for many years.

The family would like to thank Dr. and Mrs. Richard Byers MD, for their many years of special care. Arrangements will be handled by Neeld Funeral Home and private services will be held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, Judy would be honored by a donation in her name to an active military or veterans support organization.
