Julianne "Julie" Simons (nee Collins), 85, of Xenia, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. Leonard's of Centerville.  Born on March 26, 1940, Julie was a life-long resident of Xenia and graduated from Xenia High School.  She was a loving friend, mother and grandmother, and a devoted partner to her beloved husband William "Bill" Simons. She retired after many years of providing compassionate care as a medical assistant with the late Dr. Richard Kelly. Julie had a whimsical sense of humor and a positive outlook on life, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings and spending time with friends. Julie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Laura Militello) Sisson and Lori (Mark) Schlagheck; beloved step-children Marc (Martha Driscoll) Simons and Sheri (Dave) Dean; grandchildren Matthew (Sarah) Schlagheck, Alia (Chris) Sove, Brian (Taylor) Schlagheck, Eryn Simons, Andrew Simons, Elizabeth Dean, and Hannah Dean; great-grandchildren Holli Smucker, Reagan Schlagheck, and Emma Schlagheck; nephew Tom LaRocque and niece Beth Graalman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn Perrill Collins; her husband Bill, and her sister Carolyn Collins.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 15 at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St. in Xenia.  Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time.
