Obituary

Karen Jean Feeley Adams, beloved wife, mother, and soon-to-be grandmother, passed away on February 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family, who will forever cherish the strength, kindness, and adventurous spirit she brought into their lives.

Karen was born on November 11, 1961, to Charles and Jean Marie Feeley of Xenia. She was a 1980 graduate of Xenia High School and went on to further her education at Wright State University, where she earned her, MBA, all while working full time and raising a family.

Karen was married to the love of her life, Roger Adams, for 43 wonderful years, building a life filled with laughter, love, and countless memories. She was a devoted mother to Heather Adams (Mike Neidert) and Kenneth Charles (Harley) Adams, whose lives brought her immeasurable joy. Karen Jean was going to be a first time grandmother to her namesake, Stevie Jean Adams in just a couple weeks.

Karen's passion for life was evident in everything she did. She had a deep love for traveling with her family, always eager to explore new cultures and create unforgettable memories. Whether it was enjoying family game nights, walking the dogs, or crafting mementos, Karen embraced every opportunity to bond and care for her loved ones.

Karen often found peace in reading a good book on the patio and baking cookies. She even pushed herself through the challenge of becoming a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu, showing her resilience and determination in all aspects of her life. Her thirst for adventure and joy in life's simple pleasures left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

She dedicated her career to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she worked tirelessly for many years. For over 25 years she served as a Project Scheduler for several major contracts and made many wonderful life long friends along the way.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Rhey and Jean Marie (Hornick) Feeley, as well as her stepmother Ida Marie (Jordan Jenkins). She is survived by her siblings Michael (Cassandra) Feeley of Springboro, John (Patricia) Feeley of Xenia and Lynn (Michael) Buschhaus of Springboro, along with many nieces and nephews.

Though Karen's time on earth was not long enough, the love she shared and the impact she made will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, adventure, and unwavering love.

Karen was very passionate about giving back to her community. She loved to volunteer her time to the Humane Society of Dayton, taking care and showing love to all the dogs and cats.
