Karen J Wright, 80, of Jamestown (formerly of Xenia) passed away December 14,2020 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 3,1940 in Dayton Ohio, the daughter of Ronald and Josephine (Delk) Atkinson. She was a 1958 graduate of Xenia High School and a member of Union United Methodist church in Xenia. She was a member of the Jamestown Historical Society and was active in the Jamestown Opera House and served as Treasurer. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Xenia, and Old timers Club. She and her husband were the owners of Tiffanys Treasures in Waynesville Ohio for over 10 years. She worked at the Greene Country Recorders office and was Chief Deputy Recorder, for many years and she was appointed Recorder prior to retiring in 2000. Karen and Bob met at The Blue Moon Ballroom in Xenia. In 1956, her parents built and owned the Blue Moon Ballroom and they shared a lot of memories over the years there including proms and dances. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert "Bob", one daughter Sue Wilson of Jamestown, one son, Scott (Emily) of Palm Bay, Florida. She was Known as "Meme" to her Grandchildren Tiffany (James) Shell of Kettering, Brandon Williamson of Jamestown, Josh (Chelo) Wright of Florida, Corey (Melissa) Wright of Florida, Dylan Wright of Florida, Evan Wright of Florida, and Pedro Mendez of Florida. Great Grandchildren Cayla Teeters, Savannah Williamson, Caleb Williamson, Hans and Faith Wright, Jaxson Wright, Brenden Wright, Sabriel Wright, and Maryssa Wright. Brother in-law and sister in-law Joe and Mae Wright of Xenia. A close family friend Myrna Manor and numerous friends and family. She was a avid cat lover and had a very special buddy her cat "Sunny" who never left her side. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, a infant son Arlen Dean Wright and her sister Jeri Long. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have remained faithful.
