Karl E. Anderson, 64, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1952, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of George E., Sr., and Lois Catherine McCauley Anderson. He was a 1970 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School (OSSO Home) and retired from Apex Machine and Tool of Dayton after many years of employment. Karl loved working on cars and clocks and growing vegetables in his garden. He is survived by a daughter, Courtney (Scott) Durflinger, two granddaughters, Karleigh and Violet, all of Xenia, brothers and sisters, Paul J. (Stacia) Anderson, Jamestown, Dean W. (Fred) Anderson, Florida, George E. (Diane) Anderson, Jr., Cecilia Kindred, Theresa (Greg) Gompf, Rebecca Anderson, Mary (Elmer) Harris, all of Xenia, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including his beloved dog, Ginger. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Stephen Ray Anderson, and by a brother, Danny Anderson. Karl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
