Karl Eugene Smith, 82, of Xenia, formerly of Topeka, Kansas, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Hospitality Home East. He was born May 19, 1934, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Cecil Eugene and Mildred Gertrude Perkins Smith. He is survived by a brother, Galen (Claudia) Smith, Xenia, a niece and nephew, Shawna Marie Mikesell and David W. (Amanda) Smith, great-nieces and great-nephews, Alaura Mikesell, Autumn Smith, Garrett Smith, and Dalton Smith, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Geraldine Ann Smith, and by two brothers, Lawrence Smith and Richard Smith. Karl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private services will be held by the family in Hubble Cemetery, Tonganoxie, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1120 S.
