Obituary

Kathryn L. Pickering, 89, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Liberty Nursing Center. She was born September 7, 1925, in Clinton County, Ohio, the daughter of Howard S. and Edith Bales Pickering. She was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church, former member of the New Burlington Eastern Star, #262, O.E.S, and Y-Gradal. She retired from KeyBank. She is survived by two sisters, Geraldine (Richard) Voorhees, Huntley, IL, and Janet Borton, Xenia, a brother, Roger (Betty) Pickering, Sun City, AZ, a sister-in-law, Joyce Pickering, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean Irene Pickering, Farrell Borton, and Virginia (Donald) Flege, and by two brothers, Robert E. Pickering and Max Pickering. Kathy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, November 12, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Rick Tettau officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Community United Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Dr., Xenia, OH, 45385, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 W.
