Kay Frances Jimerson, 79, of Fairborn, formerly of Xenia, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Wright Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Fairborn. She was born May 13, 1942, in Wilmington, Ohio, the daughter of Douglas and Marcella Michael Jarrell. She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, New Carlisle, and attended the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in several nursing assistant positions including; Greene Memorial Hospital, Greenhill Nursing Home, Greenewood Manor, and Trinity Retirement Community of Beavercreek (Employee of the Year in 1999). She also worked at Hooven & Allison, Ohio Bell, DeWine's Restaurant, and 7Eleven. She was an active member of Bible Baptist Church, Xenia, Ladies VFW auxiliary, several Native American Organizations, and retired as director of the Xenia Indian Cultural Center. She is survived by her children, Lisa Rebecca (Karl) Mullins, Xenia, Richard Douglas (Kara) Stewart, Huber Heights, Paul Franklin (April) Stewart, Fairborn, John David (Kim) Stewart, Miamisburg, and MSgt. (USAF, Ret.) Daniel Scott Stewart, Xenia, 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Leah, Lyndsey, Ben, Kerri, Rachel, Amanda, Cole, Anna, Joshua, Shelby, Caitlin, and David, 27 great-grandchildren, a sister, Hazel (Richard) Day, Florida, a brother, Donald Wallace, Indiana, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by two sisters, Joy Helfrich and Sherry Taylor. Kay will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10am, Thursday, May 19, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice, 3055 Kettering Blvd., Suite 400, Moraine, OH, 45439, in her memory.
