David Rue, 91, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Trinity of Beavercreek. He was born August 13, 1934, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of William E. and Alma M. Thompson Rue. He was a member of the South Dayton Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Tompkins Industries. He is survived by his wife, Ruthann (Darner) Rue, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by five sisters and seven brothers. Dave will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private burial will be held in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date.
