Larry Keith Riviers, 69, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born February 5, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Archie and Dorothy (Gerard) Riviers. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired as a conductor with ConRail. He is survived by his wife, Sherryll (Sparks) Riviers, a step-daughter, Sherry (Tom) Wysinski, sister-in-law, Kay Edwards, a special niece and nephew, Hannah Edwards and Jackson Edwards IV, of Florida, a sister, Linda Collingham, and by many close friends, including a special friend in Belize known as the "Log-Man". He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Carolyn June Riviers. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Special Olympics or to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in his memory. Larry enjoyed keeping a nice looking yard and growing pretty flowers. He enjoyed biking and camping with buddies and sitting around a campfire with his neighbors telling stories and roasting marshmallows. Most of all, Larry enjoyed helping people.
