Lawrence Blythe, 97, of Xenia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Shawnee Estates. He was born December 3, 1926, in Manchester, Ohio, the son of Roby and Lucy Miller Blythe.
He faithfully attended Xenia Nazarene in his later years.
He is survived by two daughters, Rita (Bob) Glaser and Debby Stroup; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Vandergriff, Jessica (Dustin) Orner, Zach (Amanda) Stroup, Julie (Marcus) Lehman and Cory (Malissa) Stroup; eleven great grandchildren, Ally (fiance, Alex Sparks), Brett, Caden, Reese, Jillian, Crosley, Charlie, Weston, Cameron, Abigail, Ava, Olivia and Aiden, by a sister, Doris Ann Adkins, and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Georgia Blythe, on April 8, 2020, and by a son-in-law, Sam Stroup.
Services will be held at 11am Thursday, August 8, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Michael Hancock officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Thursday until service time. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity in his memory.
