Eldon Leon Fawley, 94, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Elmcroft of Xenia. He was born July 21, 1927, in Paintersville, Ohio, the son of Orville and Myrtle Sturgeon Fawley.  He was a member of Union Methodist Church, and retired from Schriber's Sheet Metal. He is survived by his children, Sharon Fawley, Xenia, Jennifer Fannin (Fawley), Columbus, Judi Fawley Remenyi, Columbus, and Jacki (Rick) Kettering, Colorado. Leon leaves behind grandchildren, Raechel (Jason) Conover, Kimberly Remenyi, Charles (Christine) Fannin, Ben Fannin, Jessica (Matt) Houser, Anastasia (Barber), A.J. Barber, Erica (Kenneth) Cotterman, Erin Fawley, and Matt (Kassandra Thomas) Fawley, as well as 9 (+1) great-grand children, a sister-in-law, Rosemary Fawley, Xenia, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends, including his special friend, Marilyn June Werner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alberta "Bertie" Nell (Ennis) Fawley, on August 31, 2005, a son, David Allen Fawley, two brothers, George Fawley and Harold Fawley, and by nine sisters, Phyllis Johnson, Marjorie Fawley, Willa Ruth Fawley, Helen Gill, Aletha Edwards Segraves, Sue Palmer, Maxine Storey, Laura Linkhart, and Mary Stollings Anderson.

Leon's easy chuckle and welcoming nature put everyone who met him at ease. He always took time to welcome anyone into his home for a cup of coffee, breakfast or a game of cards. He loved his family and friends with all his heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, September 30 ^th at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until service time. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com .
