Margaret A. Mercer, 100, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Beavercreek Health and Rehab. She was born November 24, 1923, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Orville B. and Edna W. Glenn Luttrell. She was a 1941 graduate of Xenia Central High School, and was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church. She retired as a secretary at Xenia High School. She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Connie) Mercer, and Benjamin (Mary Ellen) Mercer, three grandchildren, Emily (Michael) Richley, Seth (Kathryn) Mercer, and Susan (Austin) Hagerty, five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Richley, Zoe Mercer, Wyatt Richley, Lily Mercer, and Margaret Hagerty, a brother, Donald G. Luttrell, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene M. Mercer, on April 23, 1993, three sisters, Barbara L. Luttrell, Evelyn Louise Luttrell, and Catherine Lucille Luttrell, and by two brothers, Jack L. Luttrell and Joe W. Luttrell. Margaret will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services will be held in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
