Margaret Sue
Reis
Dec 22, 1944 — Oct 2, 2026
Thursday
Neeld Funeral Home, Inc.
10:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
Sue Reis passed away on Friday, October 2, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Reis and Larry Ball; her parents, Bill and Mollie Lewis; her sister, Gayle Sallee; and her sister-in-law, Kris Lewis.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Mark) Iorio; grandchildren Dominic, Antonio, and Victoria Iorio; her stepsons, Robert Reis (Daphne) and Brian Reis (Kristie); and grandson Brandon Reis. She also leaves behind her brothers, Bill (Joyce) Lewis and John Lewis; sister-in-law Phyl Reis; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Sue was born in England but spent her childhood in Xenia and most of her adult life in Springboro. She loved to travel and was able to go on many amazing trips. Her favorite and most talked-about trip was her Alaskan cruise with Bob, Bob’s brother Jay, and his wife, Phyl. Her most treasured trip was to her birthplace, England, with Bob, her brother Bill, and sister-in-law Joyce. Her favorite destination, however, was Hilton Head, South
Carolina, where she spent countless years vacationing with family and friends. In Hilton Head, she would golf, enjoy the beach, and, in later years, watch her grandchildren live their best lives.
She loved to play cards, especially bridge and euchre. She enjoyed golf, tennis, and reading. Mahjong Friday was her favorite day of the week, followed closely by Thursday poker nights with friends and, of course, watching her Cincinnati Bengals play.
But most of all, Sue enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids. No matter the weather or how she felt, Grandma would be in the stands or on the field to watch her “three angels.” She spent many hours cheering them on and supporting them in every way she could. She loved to watch Dominic run track and cross country, earn his Eagle Scout Antonio succeed at football through high school and later college, earn his Eagle Scout, and Victoria excel at lacrosse and school. If her angels had an activity, no matter how trivial it seemed, Grandma was there.
Sue will be missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A memorial and celebration of Sue’s life will be held Thursday, October 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Neeld Funeral Home in Xenia. 1276 N. Detroit St. Xenia, Oh 45385. Followed by a grave side service. Contributions may be made to stjude.org in her memory. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
