Martin "Marty" Robert Wolary- passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on May 19th, 1954 in Xenia, Ohio where he presided upon graduating from Xenia High School Class of 1972. Marty graduated from Rollins Community College in Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Marty also was a police officer with the Holly Hill Police Department in Daytona Beach, Florida for several years before becoming a Federal Investigator. Marty found the love of his life, Deborah, at the age of 19. Marty was preceded in death by his parents: James (Jim) Robert Wolary and Bette Massie Wolary of Xenia, grandparents: Ola Wolary and Ethel Wolary of Xenia, and maternal grandfather Cloyd Massie.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Broughton Wolary, of 45 years of marriage. They have two daughters: Chalisa (Ken) Allgood of Kingsport, TN and Jenny (Brian) Barbour of Fall Branch, TN, as well as 5 grandchildren who were his pride, joy and he cherished beyond measure: Kinsley Grace, Chase and Seth Allgood and Bryson and Maxton Barbour. Marty also has many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law whom he dearly loved as his own brothers and sisters. He also had many nieces and nephews who he also loved greatly and friends who were also considered family.
Marty had an uncanny sense of humor, a big heart and a love of life. He was fiercely devoted to his family, had impeccable work ethics, was well known for the many stories that he has told over the years. Marty had fought a brave fight with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and now rests with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He closed his eyes to this world and opened his eyes in the next.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made in Marty's honor to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has reached out to us during this difficult time. We also would like to thank Neeld Funeral Home in Xenia, Ohio.
Graveside services will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio on Saturday, February 10th 2018 at 11:00 am. Marty's brother-in law, Pastor Charles Welch will officiate. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com .
