Marvin D. Merriman, 77, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Continental Manor, Blanchester. He was born December 10, 1939, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Elwin F. and Viola L. Merriman.  He was a former member of the Open Bible Church, a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War, and retired as a security guard with Liberty Bank. He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Wilson, Port William, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. Services will be held at 11am, Thursday, March 9, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Thursday, until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
