Mary Catherine Jarboe Arndell, 88, of Xenia, our family matriarch, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, died peacefully March 20, 2016. She was born September 26, 1927, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Rod William and Catherine Mary Faragher Jarboe. She was preceded in death by her brother Bruce Edward Jarboe, and by her loving husband of 55 years Christopher Franklin Arndell on December 23, 2001. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. She had a lifelong devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary and St. Rita (Saint of the Impossible). She was a 1945 graduate of Xenia High School and she won the speech award. In the 1960's, she was active in the preschool Head Start program. Because she had a tremendous love for her family, she will be greatly missed. She is survived by a daughter Casandra Ann Arndell Garner (Dale Harner) of Xenia, grandson Jonathan C. Garner (Mary), and great-grandchildren Clayton W. Garner, Evan Garner, Sydney Marsh, all of Middletown, granddaughter Beth Ann Garner Dickey (Patrick), great-grandchildren Drew Dickey and Kaitlyn Dickey, of Bath, MI, daughter Kay Lynn Arndell Garner (Richard), grandson Michael R. Garner (Katie) of Sylvania, son Christopher Rod Arndell of Xenia. Her spirit will remain in our lives. We will fondly remember her as a beautiful, kind, generous and loving person.
