Mary M. Bennett, 93, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Miami Valley South. She was born April 22, 1925, in Bradford, Ohio, the daughter of Lawrence and Mabel Ewry McEldowney. She was a member of St. Brigid Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mary (Masoud) Gumbert-Ali, Xenia, Megan Elizabeth Bennett, Erie, CO., and Maureen Ann Robinson, Fairborn, four sons, James Thomas Bennett, Centerville, John Timothy Bennett, Xenia, Patrick Dennis Bennett, Harveysburg, and David Brian Bennett, Xenia, nine grandchildren, James Gumbert, Elizabeth Gumbert, Sue Bennett, Hanna Bennett, Hillary Bennett, Zachary Bennett, Heather Robinson, Alex Johnson, and Jessie Johnson, four great-grandchildren, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including special friends, Nancy Tucker and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John I. "Jim" Bennett, on September 19, 1991, by two sisters, and by two brothers. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, May 1, in St. Brigid Cemetery, Xenia. There will be no visitation.
