Mary Elizabeth (Hopping) Boggs, 91, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 2, 1929, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Robert E. and Ruth I. Rector Hopping. She was a member of Xenia United Presbyterian Church, and retired as secretary at Tecumseh and Shawnee Elementary. She is survived by two daughters, Julie (Tony) Willis, and Jennifer Boggs, all of Jamestown, a daughter-in-law, Jill Boggs, grandchildren, Wendy (Nick) Bottorff, Marty (Leeann) Willis, Nicholas (Hannah) Boggs, Bradley Boggs, and Matthew Boggs, great-grandchildren, Cameron Bottorff, Abby Bottorff, Brody Bottorff, Benjamin Willis, and Isaac Willis, a brother, Donald (Alice) Hopping, Bellbrook, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Irvin Boggs, on July 23, 2013, and by a son, Roger Boggs in 2015. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private graveside services will be held by the family in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Xenia United Presbyterian Church, 343 W.
