Mary M. "Mag" Durnbaugh, 97, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Greenewood Manor. She was born November 7, 1919, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph E. and Helen G. Pennewitt Gordon. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice (Russell) Flax, Grove City, a son and daughter-in-law, John A. (Marilyn) Durnbaugh, Xenia, three grandchildren, Kent (Melody) Durnbaugh, Karen (Robert) Rose, all of Xenia, and Cheryl (Jim) Thompson, Pickerington, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Lawrence W. Gordon, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John P. Durnbaugh, on March 13, 2012, a sister, Mildred L. Witalec, and by a brother, Robert L. Gordon. Mag will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Valley View Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 195 W. Third St., Xenia, OH, 45385, in her memory.
