Obituary

Mary Ann Noble, 88, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs. She was born April 22, 1937, in Greenfield, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Marie Robinson Wright. She graduated from Buckskin School in South Salem, Ohio in 1955 and went on to get her teaching degree from Wilmington College.  She was a teacher and tutor for many years and touched many children's lives.  She married Harry Noble on June 13, 1964, and they were blessed with two children.   Her faith was important to her, and she was a member of Xenia United Presbyterian Church, where she was active in many groups and committees. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She worked at Wickline's garden center for many years.  She was also a lover of antiques and even worked in an antique shop in Waynesville.  She also loved to quilt and do many crafts.  She was an Ohio State fan and loved to entertain.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She also had a love for dogs, both her own and her many grand dogs.   She is survived by her husband, Harry, her daughter, Pam (Steve) Lubbers, and her son, Phil (Anne) Noble, her two grandchildren, Josie and Keegan, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Bill Wright.   Mary Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Monday, June 16, at Xenia United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Wakeland officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Monday until service time. Private burial will be held by the family in South Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Xenia United Presbyterian Church, 343 W. Ankeney Mill Rd.
