Mary Sue "Susie" Reed, age 77, died August 3, 2019 in Xenia, Ohio.  Susie was born on May 22, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the late Floyd A. and Mary (Crighton) Reed.  She is survived by her sister, Catherine M. Burr, brother, Floyd D. "Buzz" Reed, nephews David C. Murray and Brandon D. Reed, great nephews and niece Alex, Reed, Spenser, Max, and Noel Murray.  She attended Lindenwood College and graduated from Southeast Missouri State College with a degree in mathematics.  She taught high school math in the public schools of Arnold, Missouri.  She was a medical librarian and analyzed research data at the University of Missouri and at UCLA.  She returned to the University of Missouri School of Health Professions and graduated as a Respiratory Therapist.  Susie served as Respiratory Therapist at a hospital in the Lake of the Ozarks, where she was certified as an ambulance and helicopter medic.  Susie loved the action of serving in a lake area with many inlets, coves and rural roads.  She later provided respiratory care in the St. Louis area to patients in their homes.  After retiring she lived in Kettering and Northern Kentucky.

The memorial service will be at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 990 Old Springfield Pike, Xenia, OH on Tuesday, December 10, at 3:00 p.m.

The family is grateful for the compassion and care provided to Susie by the staff of Legacy Village in Xenia during her five-plus years as a resident. The family also expresses gratitude for the pastoral care of clergy and members of Westminster Presbyterian Church (Xenia) and Memorial Presbyterian Church (Xenia).
