Melvin D. "Corky" Carwile, 86, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at his residence. He was born September 1, 1934, in Cookeville, Tennessee. He retired after 35 years with General Motors-Frigidaire (20 years in management) He is survived by his only daughter, Kimberly (Howard) Mellman, West Palm Beach, Florida, his beloved grandson, Max Mellman, Brooklyn, New York, niece, Rita (Wallace) Reid, great-niece, Leigh Ann (Brian) Layman, Atlanta, GA, great-great-niece, Harper, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sylvia Jean Carwile, on January 6, 2021, and by two sisters, Juanita Phillips and Geneva Maurine Davis.
