Rita was a kind, giving, and selfless person, which was apparent in everything she did.  Many close friends and family have cross-stitch keepsakes from her, from over the years.  Rita was also known for her cooking and baking. Most notably, "Rita's Bread".  She rarely showed up anywhere empty handed and made sure all visitors left with some type of goodie from her kitchen.  She logged countless hours volunteering at all of the schools her children attended.  She was also active in many activities for the school, community, and Xenia athletics. She devoted her life to helping others, and took care of many neighbors, friends, and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Toward Independence, in Rita's honor. http://www.ti-inc.org/donate .  She had a special connection with her students, some of which are involved with this organization.
