Michael R. Anders, 53, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born August 24, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Jack and Irene (Sanders) Anders. He was a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church, and was a veteran and retired from the Ohio Air National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Kelly J. (Engle) Anders, whom he married April 1, 1998, a daughter, Brittany Anders, Xenia, two sons, Justin Anders, Beavercreek, and Benjamin Anders, Xenia, two stepchildren, Nicholas Brumett, San Jose, CA, and Sarah Brumett, Los Angeles, CA, a grandson, Lucas Williams, a brother, Jeff Anders, Xenia, by several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Anders.  Mike was employed as a security contractor at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  Mike was an avid NASCAR and Formula One racing fan. He enjoyed everything Sci-Fi, working in the yard, mowing and clearing snow, watching harness racing with his father, Jack, and passing the football with his grandson, Lucas.  His friends and family will remember him as a fun loving, goofy, and caring man who was also willing to lend a hand.  Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Friday, October 7, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. A celebration of life will be held at 10am, Saturday, October 8 at the funeral home.
