Obituary

Michelle Quigley Powers, 49, of Ortonville, Michigan, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 11, 2017, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Oakland, Michigan. She was born March 9, 1968, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the daughter of Malcom and Alice Holland Quigley. She is survived by her husband, Todd Powers, whom she married December 15, 2006, her children: Megan McKean and Morgan McKean of Cumming, Georgia, and David Powers and Allison Powers of Oshawa, Ontario, her mother: Alice Holland Quigley of Gaston, South Carolina, her brothers: Keith Quigley (Donna) of Gaston, South Carolina and Eric Quigley (Lisa) of Lexington, South Carolina, her grandson: Rylan Phillips and his father Cody Phillips of Cumming, Georgia, her nieces and nephews which include: Chris Quigley (Mary, Sierra), Kealy Quigley, Amanda Williams (Derek, Ada), Ross Quigley, Daniel Quigley, and Aiden Quigley, her mother-in-law: Bernie Powers, and by many close friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Malcom Quigley, her brother Michael Quigley, and her father-in-law Warren Powers. She was graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as a Master's of Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology. Michelle was a veteran of the United States Army, achieving the rank of Captain. She was a dedicated managerial employee of General Motors Company for twenty-two years. Her personal interests included hobby farming, traveling, crocheting, and reading. She was a devout partner of Cornerstone Church, John Hagee Ministries, San Antonio, Texas. Michelle ministered her Christian beliefs and wisdom with all whom she came in contact. Her smile brought strength, comfort, and grace to all. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, Ohio.  Michelle will be laid to rest in Valley View Memorial Gardens 170 N. Valley Road, Xenia, Ohio.
