Morris E. Miller, 87, of Xenia, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at his residence. He was born November 29, 1930, in Cambridge, Ohio, the son of John M. and Bernice M. Gilcher Miller. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Beavercreek, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He had a Master's degree from The Ohio State University, and retired from the Union Oil Company. He was the former owner of Miller Associates Sales Training, and was the co-owner, with his son, of Spring Valley Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Beekman) Miller, whom he married, August 1, 1953, a daughter, Susan (Rodney) Berner, Beavercreek, a son, Randy M. Miller, Xenia, a son-in-law, Tim Stockdale, Bolivar, OH, 10 grandchildren, Craig Berner, Shane (Olivia) Berner, David Berner, Daniel Berner, Calvin (Katie) Stockdale, Charles Stockdale, Jacob Stockdale, Shawn Atkinson, Nathan (Michelle) Atkinson, and Derek (Debby) Atkinson, 9 great-grandchildren, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Douglas Beekman Miller, a daughter, Kathryn B. Stockdale, and by a grandson, James W. Stockdale. Morris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, December 9, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. John Schlicher officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30am Saturday, until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park, Springfield.
