Nancy L. (Cain) O'Connor, 89, of Xenia, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at Soin Medical Center. She was born December 21, 1935, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Frank J. and Dorothy Fuller Cain. She was a graduate of St. Brigid High School and St. Elizabeth's Nursing School.  She retired from Greene Memorial Hospital and continued to volunteer there after retirement.  She was a devoted member of St. Brigid's parish where she was a member of the prayer shawl group and served on the bereavement committee, and was also a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.  She is survived by a son, Matthew O'Connor, daughters, Brigid O'Connor, Mary Alice (Kevin) Akins, and Kathleen (John) Stebbins, daughter-in-law, Amy (James) Maurer, and the proud grandmother to nine grandchildren James, Carlin, McKenzie, Ellie, Matthew, Will, Mia, Molly and Emily. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy J. "Dottie" Cain, and Carol Melanson, a sister-in-law, Karen Cain, and by numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" T. O'Connor, on February 16, 2021, a son, John Maurice O'Connor, her parents, a sister, Alice Cain, and by two brothers, Thomas Cain and Joseph Cain. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Monday, March 10, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Sunday, March 9, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
