Obituary

Naomi L. (Garman) Stephens, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 4, 2021, with family by her side. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Stephens, daughter, Cheryl L. (Stephens) Davis, her brother, Russell W. Garman and sister, Wanda M. (Garman) Hook. She is survived by her sister, Wilma (Garman) Spivey, two sons, Gary E. (Doris) Stephens and Gregory A. Stephens, seven grandchildren, Tara N. (Stephens-Richard) Floyd, Joseph E. (Kristin) Stephens, Gregory Adam (Tarah) Stephens, Aaron (Jen) Davis, Kristen M. (Lisa) Stephens-Twiggs, Adrianne (Davis) Johnson and Ryan M. (Tristin) Stephens, along with 14 Great-grandchildren! Naomi was born and raised in Detroit, MI., where she married Edward in 1949 and moved to his hometown of Xenia, Ohio to start their lives together and raise a family. Naomi was a, over 40 year, employee at the Xenia Super Valu Warehouse from which she finally retired. Naomi was an active member of our family church, the Evangelical United Methodist Church and loved each and every member of the congregation! Naomi never met a stranger and will be sorely missed by anyone and everyone that ever had the pleasure of meeting her! God Bless and Rest In Peace! Graveside services will be held at 11am, Friday, July 9, at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, with Pastor Thomas Hite officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 195 W. Third St., Xenia, OH, 45385, in her memory.
