Nicholas Galliger, 74, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 28, 1940, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Forest T. and Louise Hamma Galliger. He was a member of St. Brigid Church, and was a 1958 graduate of Xenia High School. He retired as a castings engineer. He is survived by his wife, Jean L. (Revoir) Galliger, whom he married, September 9, 1961, a daughter, Stephanie Galliger, a son, Chad (Melissa) Galliger, five grandchildren, Trey Galliger, Javin Galliger, Jenna Galliger, Mikayla Brightman, and Bryce Fink, two brothers, Gerald M. Galliger and Patrick (Altha) Galliger, all of Xenia, a sister-in-law, Sally Galliger, Springfield, by several nieces and nephews, cousins, an aunt, Gloria Pitstrick, Xenia, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas Galliger and Joseph H. Galliger, and by a sister-in-law, Scarlet Galliger. Nick enjoyed creating stained glass, painting watercolors, and photography. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am, Wednesday, February 25, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, with Rev. John Krumm officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday, until service time at the church. A reception will be held at the PAC Center following the service.
