Nora Eileen Thomas, 94, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Trinity of Beavercreek. She was born June 30, 1922, in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of George and Anna Duckett Ringer. For many years, Nora and her husband Jack operated the food service at the Beverly Inn, Community Bowling Alley, and the Xenia YMCA, and she was a former employee of Wicklines Florist. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy (Joe) Earley, Cedarville, Jacqueline Harner, Mason, a son, Jerry Harner, Centerville, grandchildren, John (Beth) Thomas, Jacob (Melanie) Thomas, Jeff Earley, and Jennifer Earley, great-grandchildren, Jordyn Thomas, Gavin Thomas, Jenna Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Gabrielle Thomas, Gracelynn Thomas, Ryan Earley, Joey (Amanda) Earley, Treystan Weems, and Nathan Fussnecker, two great-great-grandchildren, Madelynn Earley and Liam Earley, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Dilver Harner, in 1950, her second husband, John H. "Jack" Thomas, on May 7, 1984, a son, Richard H. "Rick" Thomas, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Harner, two grandchildren, Jaimie Harner and Jill Fussnecker, and by thirteen brothers and sisters. Nora will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10am, Thursday, September 29, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. John Lockwood officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity in her memory.
