Obituary

Patricia L. "Pat" (Muterspaw) Felton, 80, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 28, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Roy E. and Becky Biggs Muterspaw. She was the first elected female Mayor of the City of Xenia, Ohio, serving from 1990-1997, served as a Xenia City Council member from 2000 to 2010 (serving as council president from 2008 to 2010), until stepping down from her position due to health, and was a member of Elks Lodge, #668.  She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn (Alex) Gatzimos, Sheri McGreen, Laura (Paul) Zaher, and Becky Brooks, nine grandchildren, Jessica Pribble (Timothy Spencer), Caitlin Pribble, Jilian McGreen (Mike Dillman), Matthew McGreen, Maggie Stanford, Grace Zaher, Evan Zaher, Garrett Zaher, and Anabelle Stanford, a brother and sister-in-law, Michael J. (JoAnn) Muterspaw, by a special niece, Tammi (Todd) Rohney, and nephew, Christian Muterspaw, and by longtime friends Larry Ellsberry, Charlene White, Jeanne Mills, and Barb Minker.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Peter J. McGreen, and by a very dear friend, Janet Neeld. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and by all of the Xenia citizens whose lives she touched.  Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH, 45420, or to a favorite charity, in her memory.
