Paul Edward Beegle, 72, of Xenia, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1946, in Bellbrook, Ohio, the son of Loman and Gladys (Eakes) Beegle. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a retired firefighter with the City of Xenia and former employee of BARCO. He was the proud owner of Cherokee Small Engines for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 95, the I.A.F.F. (International Association of Firefighters), Local 698, Past President, Xenia, Stans House Pool League and the American Pool Players Association (APA). He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lynn (Toomey) Beegle, a daughter, Charlene (Henry) King, a son, Greg (Christina) Beegle, and mother of his 2 children Martha Jane Beegle all of Xenia, stepchildren, Tracy Titcombe, Kettering, Kelly (Brad) Hiles, Wexford, PA, Jason (Danielle) Criswell, Cedarville, and Justin (Erin) Criswell, Miamisburg, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Clifton (Norma Jean) Beegle, Xenia, and Smith (Karla) Beegle, Georgia, three sisters, Lou (Hoby) Turner, Enon, Mattie Turner, Knoxville, TN, and Doris (Larry) Dumford, Xenia, one sister in law, Diane (Paul) Cushwa, Xenia and one brother in law, Bill (Linda) Toomey, Belpre, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, James Myers. Paul loved to play pool and to go fishing at Lake Erie with his good friend Butch. He enjoyed a special trip to Las Vegas this past summer to play pool in a national tournament with some very special friends. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will forever be remembered by his family as the best husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and friend that anyone could ask for. Services will be held at 10am, Friday, December 28, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Thursday, December 27 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Xenia Professional Firefighters Association, Local 698, P.O.
