Pearl A. Carrera, 94, of Xenia, passed away Friday evening, May 7, 2010, at Greenewood Manor. She was born April 6, 1916, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of Nicholas and Maria Zinicola D'Agostino. She was a member of St. Brigid Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She is survived by a son, Nicholas A. Carrera, Xenia, a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary (John) Corron, Kettering, eight grandchildren, Stephen Carrera, Douglas (Cristina) Carrera, Laura (Scott) Burnett, Michele (John) Martin, Michael Carrera, Christopher (Beth) Shumaker, Andrew Shumaker, and Nancy (Todd) Templin, 18 great-grandchildren, Steven Caldwell, Katie Carrera, Kelly Carrera, Kyle Carrera, Courtney Carrera, Conner Carrera, Cory Burnett, Carly Burnett, Megan Martin, Zachary Young, Sarah Young, Isabela Martin, Jacob Martin, Mary Carrera, Ryan Shumaker, Sara Shumaker, Matthew Templin, and Alex Templin, four great-great-grandchildren, Malaki, Ayden, Ashlynn and Annabelle, and a sister, Antonette Cuttonilli, Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael F. Carrera, July 25, 1997, four sisters, Hilda Fabi, Amelia D'Agostino, Lizzie Mele, and Rose Rossi, and by two brothers, Alex D'Agostino, and Rex D'Agostino. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Friday, May 14, 2010, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, with Rev. John Krumm officiating.
