Obituary

Phyllis M. Beason, 101, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Legacy Village. She was born October 14, 1912, in Greene County, Ohio, the daughter of John L. and Mary Elizabeth Bales Beason. She was a charter member of Faith Community United Church. She retired from D. P. & L., and worked at Citizens Federal Bank for many years. She is survived by a brother, John C. Beason, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews; Mary Ellen Rector, Port William, Charles L. Beason, Xenia, Kenny (Ruth) Beason, Xenia, Ronnie (Becky) Beason, Gold Canyon, AZ, Linda Hax, Sacramento, CA, Joanne (Wayne) Vroman, Yuma, AZ, Eileen Beason, Xenia, Bill (Sandra) Mills, Springfield, Sally (Lonnie) White, Xenia, Molly (Tom) Bowell, Sandusky, Charles A. (Mary Ann VanTress) Beason, Xenia, and Nancy Dabe, Xenia, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruth Mills and Mary Beason, five brothers, Chester Beason, Marion Beason, Erba Beason, Wilbur Beason, and Roscoe Beason, and by a nephew, Bob Beason. Phyllis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to especially thank all the staff of Legacy Village for their care during this difficult time. Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 9, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Rick Tettau officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Saturday, until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Burlington Cemetery.
