Ralph G Moeller, 91, of Xenia, Ohio passed away on August 31, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 12, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Gustaf and Grete Moeller of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (Beckett) married 70 years. Other survivors include his sister Eleanor Kothera of Chicago, sons Craig and wife Julie (Landry), Mark and wife Nancy (Miller), daughter Dawn Duke and son Reed and wife Kathy (Musker). Also, grandchildren Nichol (Feeser) and Ryan Moeller,  Jasmine (Franz) and Chelsea (Von O'hain), Wesley and Courtney Duke, Brice Landry, Kerri Landry and Dennis Kircher and many great-grandchildren.  In 1954, he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Science and Technology with a degree in metallurgical engineering.  Shortly after graduation he was drafted into the army with the rank of lieutenant. In the service, he entered the aviation program and received his "wings" as an army aviator.  Upon discharge, he worked in Chicago as a casting metallurgist. In 1972 he relocated to Xenia and was employed at Morris Bean Company, Yellow Springs as Plant Manager. Ralph volunteered on the Private Industry Council, the local Food Bank, and for ten years he served as a docent at the Dayton Art Institute. He also was an active member and Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Xenia. Many knew Ralph as a consummate woodcarver.  He specialized in relief carvings, decoys and song birds. He was also active in sports and loved his St Louis Cardinals. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, September 6 in Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs.  All are welcome.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959, in his memory.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com
