Obituary

Ray Sibley, 87, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Elmcroft of Xenia. He was born September 2, 1930, in Gallia, Ohio, the son of Clyde Edgar and Florence Angel Sibley. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War, and retired from Morris Bean & Co. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Ruth (Conkel) Sibley, whom he married, June 16, 1951, a daughter, Beverly Sue Sibley, two sisters, Carol Johnson, and Jean Terrell, two brothers, Lawrence Sibley, and Stephen Sibley, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and daughter-in-law, William E. (Sue) Sibley, four sisters, Ruth Milligan, Lucille Madsen, Myra Grooms, and Mary Hoebert, and by two brothers, Joe Sibley and Charles L. Sibley. Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, March 3, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Saturday until service time.  Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH, 45420, in his memory. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
