Obituary

Raymond A. Adams, 66, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Hospitality Home East. He was born June 13, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Clifton E. and Mabel Elizabeth Furness Adams. He was baptized at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Dayton, and retired from Morris Bean Co. He is survived by two sisters, Jan (Sherman) Weller, Xenia, and Sharon Gill, Fairborn, a brother, Dennis Adams, Jamestown, by thirteen nieces and nephews, William Huddleston, Ann Polson, Tony Davidson, Chris Sagraves, Brandon Sagraves, Sarah Tutor, Jason Adams, Stacy Adams, Brent Adams, Amanda Gill, Adam Gill, Jeremy Adams, and Raschel Scott, by fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews, with one on the way, and by many close friends, especially his close family at the Xenia Towers. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Sue Huddleston and Heaven Davidson, and by three brothers, Johnny Adams, Gary Adams, and Larry Adams. Ray enjoyed drawing portraits, watching all sporting events, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals, cooking, and teasing people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private graveside services will be held at Silvercreek Township Cemetery, Jamestown with Chaplain Harry Stewart officiating. There will be no visitation. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., Suite B, Xenia, OH, 45385, in his memory.
