Raymond E. Mills, 92, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Soin Medical Center, Beavercreek. He was born October 31, 1921, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Joseph O. and Lorine Volkenand Mills. He was a lifelong Greene County Farmer and retired from Wright State University in 1986. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Darla (Michael) Parrish, Xenia, a grandson, Damon Barnes, a sister, Helen L. Hess, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Erma (Lawson) Mills, on September 7, 2004, a daughter, Linda Sue Mills, and by a son, Jeffrey R. Mills. Raymond will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, May 6, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Tuesday, until service time. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity in his memory.
