Richard K. Jordan, 89, of Waynesville, formerly of Xenia, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Ohio Living Rehab Center, Waynesville, Ohio. He was born February 22, 1936, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of George and Laura Kates Jordan, and was raised by Dorsey and Margene Kates Jordan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Waynesville, and was a lifelong farmer. He is survived by his wife, Marilee (Bogan) Jordan, children, Douglas C. (Vicki) Jordan, Brian K. (Ann) Jordan, Jennifer (Scott) Pennington, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren, brother, Donald L. (Marilyn) Jordan, by numerous nieces and nephews, a special great-niece, Kelli Marie Davis, and was loved by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Marilyn Roxanne Jordan, a son, Richard A. Jordan, two granddaughters, Leah Morgan and Ceyrah, one grandson Elijah Jordan, four sisters, Mary Jo Palmer, Donna Keubler, Helen Jacomet, and Phyllis Light, and seven brothers, George Jordan, Jr., Fred Jordan, Robert Jordan, Charles Jordan, Jack N. Jordan, W. Kenneth Jordan, and Lawrence Jordan. Dick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Dick's life will be held at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Care360 Hospice in memory of Richard, 3123 Research Blvd. Suite 150. Dayton, Ohio 45420. They went above and beyond in their care of him, social worker Laura, nurse Jennifer, nursing assistant Crystall, music therapist Kayla, Chaplin Lynn, and others. We are very thankful for their care and patience with our family in this difficult time. Our thanks to Ohio Living Rehab Center, Waynesville, OH, for their good care of Dick.
