Robert D. Brown, 98, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Trinity of Fairborn. He was born April 19, 1924, in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of Stewart W. and Hazel Scroggy Brown. He was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, receiving a Purple Heart for wounds received in World War II. He Is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Steve) Bunch, grandchildren, Gary Brown, Cindy Lou (Jon) Hardin, Heather Rhodes, Leslie Miars (friend, Brenda McQuinn), Amy (Ron) Leslie, James Richard (Emily) Bull, Steve (Becky) Bunch, Shawn (Missy) Bunch, Jason Bunch, and Joshua Bunch, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Nancy Graham, and Sharon (Dennis) Rupert, and by many nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including his canine friend, Louie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gusta E. (Hayslip) Brown, on July 2, 2011, a daughter, Linda Kay Bull, a son, Leslie Denver Brown, a granddaughter and grandson, Kellie and Brent Miars, a son-in-law, Paul Bull, a sister, Joann (Ron) Stamper, and by three brothers, Stewart W. Brown, Jr., Charles P. Brown, and Billy Eugene Brown. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday, July 12, in Spring Valley Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hancock officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Xenia Nazarene Church, attn: The Promise Class, 1204 W. Second St., Xenia, OH, 45385, in Bob's memory.
