Robert N. Grice, 94, of Xenia, passed away July 26, 2025. He was born April 18, 1931, in Pickaway County, Ohio.

The son of Howard and Verna (McCafferty) Grice. He was a veteran of the Korean War era serving in United States Army in Germany. Sargent in the First BN, 102nd infantry.

An amazingly strong and wonderful father and friend who will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him.

A 60 year member of Xenia Masonic Lodge, #49, F. & A. M. (Past Master, 1968), the Xenia Chapter, #36, R. A. M. (High Priest, 1975), Wright Council, # 96, R. & S.M. (Past Master, 1976), and the Nathaniel Greene Commandery, # 81, K.T. (Eminent Past Commander, 1971, Knights of York Cross of Honour Ohio Priory #18).

He also served as DeMolay advisor, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, member of Reave's Red Lewis Council #424, Grand Council of Knight Mason of the United States Irish Council #67. Member of the Aldora Chapter OES #262, Associated Patron Knight Templar Eye Foundation, received Grand Cross of Colors form Order of Rainbow.

A gas welder for D P & L for over 30 years.

He is survived by five children, Brenda Shultz, Jeffrey (Gail) Grice, Beverly (Maurice) Strunk, John (Michelle) Grice, and Jerry (Melissa) Grice, along with 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janet (Alspaugh) Grice, baby daughter Beatrice, sisters Ellen and Harriett, Brothers James and Eugene and son-in- Law John "Tom" Shultz.

Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at Neeld Funeral home 1276 N. Detroit Street Xenia, Ohio.  Visitation will be Friday, August 1, from 5-8 p.m. with Masonic services at 7:30, service Saturday August 2 at 10am at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice or the Alzheimer Association in his memory.
