Robert W. Harner, 91, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at his residence. He was born December 21, 1923, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of William H. and Hazel Johnson Harner. He was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church, was the former owner of Armentrout Excavating and was actively involved in farming. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Gene (Turvy) Harner, a daughter, Jackie (Jim) Murray, a son, Robert L. "Larry" Harner, all of Xenia, two grandchildren, Nicole Harner and Jarrett (Terri Barron) Murray, five great-grandchildren, Amanda Murray, Courtney Murray, Megan Murray, Hailie Harner, and Addison Harner, two great-great-grandchildren, Brantley Tucker and Landon Cardwell, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, J.B. Murray, a daughter-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Harner, by a sister, Sarah Louise Harner, and by a brother, Richard Harner. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
