Robert Elden Hoffer, 85, of Xenia, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Dayton VA Medical Center.  He was born April 29, 1940, in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Jo Ann Hoffer, and Ruth Ellen Hoffer, brothers and sisters, and by his beloved companion Foxy. He is survived by a son, Eric Spencer, daughter Melissa Watkins, grandchildren, Ashley, Donovan, Aaron, Blake, Jacob, great-grandchildren, Carsten, Andric, and Desmond, and a special friend Angelia Thornton.  Bob served in the U.S. Navy from October 1957 through October 1963 and went on to work and retired from Morris Bean Co. in Yellow Springs. He enjoyed cornhole and shuffleboard in the hot summer sun of Bonita Springs, Florida and remained competitive in Pool and Checkers once back in Ohio.  He will be greatly missed.  Private services will be held by the family  in Silvercreek Township Cemetery, Jamestown.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dayton VAMC, 4100 W.
