Robert E. Knisley, 90, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Shawnee Estates.

He was born July 31, 1936, in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Lawrence A. and Bernice L. Chaffin Knisley. He was 1955 graduate of New Vienna High School, a member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church, and the Xenia Hospitality Chorus. He retired from the State of Ohio.

He is survived by three daughters, Lynne Marie (Lorne) Sorneson, Amy (Debbie Wagner) Hall, and Carey (Allan) Hale, four sons, Dan (Sharon) Knisley, Brian Knisley, Craig (Andrea) Knisley, and Ethan Robert (Erin) Knisley, a brother, Gerald C. (Glenna) Knisley, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cheryl (Samson) Knisley, on September 23, 2025, his brother, Joseph E. Knisley, and a grandson, Jacob Brown. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at 11am, Friday, September 25, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Friday, until service time. Burial will be in Silvercreek (Old) Cemetery, Jamestown.
